Creator Beacon
Terms of Service
Short version: Creator Beacon is a glanceable YouTube app from Latilus. Dashboard and headline widgets stay free. A 14-day trial on your device opens the rest. Unlock is a one-time purchase through Apple for Mac and iOS, not a subscription. Signing in also means you accept YouTube’s terms.
1. Agreement
These terms are between you and Latilus. Using the Creator Beacon apps or this website means you agree to these terms and the Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the apps or the site.
The apps are licensed, not sold. Downloading them from the App Store also means you accept Apple’s Licensed Application End User License Agreement, unless Apple presents a different license. If these terms and Apple’s license disagree about the store download itself, Apple’s license controls that part.
2. Who we are
Creator Beacon is provided by Latilus, obrt za računalne usluge, vl. Zoran Jambor, Martinska 12, 40315 Mursko Središće, Croatia. Contact: info@latilus.com.
Creator Beacon is not made by, or affiliated with, YouTube or Google. YouTube and YouTube Studio are trademarks of Google LLC.
3. What you can use
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use Creator Beacon on Apple devices you own or control, as allowed by the App Store rules. You may not copy the app for others, resell it, rent it, or reverse engineer it except where the law does not allow that limit.
The website describes the product. It is not a place to sign in or view your channel stats.
4. Free use, trial, and Unlock
Dashboard and headline widgets stay free. Connecting a channel starts a 14-day trial of Goals, analytics, Share, and the extra widget looks. The trial is kept on your device. It is not an Apple subscription, it does not renew, and it does not charge you when it ends.
After the trial, those features need Unlock: a one-time In-App Purchase. One purchase with an Apple ID covers Creator Beacon on Mac and iOS. It does not renew. The price is shown in the app before you confirm. Apple charges your Apple ID. We do not collect payment card details.
If Unlock does not appear on a device signed into the same Apple ID, use Restore Purchase in the app. Refunds and billing questions go through Apple, including reportaproblem.apple.com. Nothing here removes statutory consumer rights you have where you live, including in the EU and EEA.
5. Your channel and YouTube
You sign in with a Google account that can access the YouTube channel you connect. You are responsible for having the right to use that channel with Creator Beacon.
Creator Beacon uses YouTube API Services (YouTube Data API, YouTube Analytics API, and YouTube Reporting API). By using the app, you also agree to YouTube’s Terms of Service and Google’s Privacy Policy. You can revoke access at any time in your Google Account permissions.
Our use of information from Google APIs follows the YouTube API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. We do not sell YouTube data, and we do not use it to serve ads.
6. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- break the law, or YouTube’s or Apple’s rules, while using Creator Beacon
- connect a channel you are not allowed to access
- scrape, resell, or republish API data outside what the app is built to do
- interfere with the app, the website, or the APIs
- misrepresent stats the app shows, including in share cards you post
7. Share cards
Share cards are images you export yourself. You choose whether to post them and where. Creator Beacon does not post them for you. You are responsible for what you publish.
8. Privacy
How the app handles channel data, sign-in, and optional iCloud sync is described in the Privacy Policy. Stats stay on your device. We do not run an analytics backend for Creator Beacon.
9. Availability
Creator Beacon depends on your device, Apple, Google, and YouTube. Stats can be delayed, revised, or unavailable, including revenue when a channel is not monetized or the signed-in account cannot see it. We may change, limit, or stop features. We do not promise that the apps or this website will be available without interruption.
Numbers in the app are there so you can glance at a channel. They are not financial, tax, or business advice.
10. Liability
The apps and website are provided as available. To the extent the law allows, Latilus is not liable for lost profits, lost data, or other indirect loss, or for outages and changes at Apple, Google, or YouTube.
This does not limit liability that cannot be limited under Croatian law or the mandatory consumer law of your country of residence. That includes liability for intent or gross negligence, and for death or personal injury caused by negligence. Nothing in these terms removes rights you cannot waive.
11. Apple
Unlock is a purchase from Apple. Apple is not responsible for Creator Beacon or these terms, and is not required to provide support for the app. Questions about the product go to info@latilus.com. Questions about a charge or a refund go to Apple.
12. Changes
We may update these terms when the product changes. The effective date at the top will be revised. If you keep using Creator Beacon after an update, you accept the new terms. If you do not agree, stop using the apps and the site. An update does not rewrite an Unlock purchase you already completed.
13. Law
These terms are governed by the laws of Croatia. That choice does not remove mandatory consumer protections in your country of residence in the EU or EEA.
