Privacy Policy

Applies to the Creator Beacon app for Mac and iOS published by Latilus (Zoran Jambor, Croatia).

Short version: Creator Beacon reads YouTube Data, Analytics, and Reporting APIs for channels you sign in with, so it can show insights, widgets, and share cards on your devices. Stats stay on your device (and settings/goals can sync through your iCloud account). We do not operate an analytics backend for Creator Beacon, we do not sell your data, and we do not show ads.

1. Who we are

2. What Creator Beacon does

Creator Beacon is a glanceable YouTube analytics app for Mac and iOS. After you sign in with a Google account that owns a YouTube channel, it shows dashboard insights, charts, goals, share cards, and widgets so you can check how a video is doing without opening YouTube Studio. It does not replace Studio.

3. YouTube API Services

Creator Beacon uses YouTube API Services (YouTube Data API, YouTube Analytics API, and YouTube Reporting API) to load channel, video, and analytics information you already have access to in Studio.

By using Creator Beacon, you also agree to YouTube’s Terms of Service and Google’s Privacy Policy. You can revoke Creator Beacon’s access at any time in your Google Account permissions.

Creator Beacon’s use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the YouTube API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. We do not use YouTube data to serve ads, we do not sell it, and we do not use it for purposes other than providing and improving the features in this app.

4. Data Creator Beacon processes

Depending on how you use the app, Creator Beacon may process:

Google Sign-In — OAuth tokens and the email associated with the Google account you choose, stored in the device Keychain so the app can stay signed in and refresh stats.
Channel & video metadata — titles, thumbnails, subscriber and view counts, and related public or owner-visible channel information from the YouTube Data API.
Analytics — views, watch time, subscribers, revenue (when your channel is monetized and the signed-in account can see it), impressions, and CTR from YouTube Analytics and Reporting APIs, used to power Dashboard, charts, insights, widgets, and share cards.
Goals & preferences — subscriber, views, or revenue targets you set, appearance, notification choices, and chart options.
Optional iCloud sync — appearance, notification choices, chart options, and goals can sync through iCloud Key-Value Store across Mac and iOS devices signed into the same Apple ID. Google accounts and YouTube tokens do not move through iCloud.
Notifications — if you grant permission, local notifications about milestones or goals (processed by Apple’s notification system on your device).

Creator Beacon does not require an account with Latilus. Unlock is a one-time In-App Purchase processed by Apple. We do not collect payment card data; Apple handles the transaction. The app stores only whether this Apple ID has unlocked Creator Beacon (and a local trial start date on device).

5. Where data is stored

On your Mac or iOS device — sign-in tokens (Keychain), cached stats, and app settings, including an App Group so widgets can read the same numbers.
In your iCloud — only settings and goals described above; that data is governed by Apple’s iCloud terms and your Apple Account.
At Google / YouTube — the underlying channel and analytics data remains with Google. Creator Beacon requests it on your behalf when you refresh.
Not on Latilus servers — Creator Beacon does not upload your channel analytics to Latilus for analytics, advertising, or profiling.

6. Sharing

We do not sell or rent personal data. We do not share Creator Beacon analytics with advertising networks. Data may be processed by Apple as part of iOS/macOS, widgets, notifications, StoreKit, or iCloud when you use those features, and by Google when the app calls YouTube API Services.

If you email us for support, we process the content of that correspondence to respond.

Share cards are images you export yourself. Creator Beacon does not post them for you.

7. Retention & deletion

On-device data remains until you sign out, delete it in the app where available, or delete the app and its data. iCloud copies follow Apple’s retention for your account. Revoking access in your Google Account stops new API requests; you should also sign out in Creator Beacon to remove local tokens.

8. Children

Creator Beacon is a general creator tool. It is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children through a Latilus account (the app does not use Latilus accounts).

9. International users

Latilus is based in Croatia (EU). On-device processing happens on your Mac or iOS device. YouTube API requests go to Google according to Google’s terms. Optional iCloud storage is provided by Apple according to your Apple Account region and Apple’s documentation.

10. Changes

We may update this policy when the product changes. The effective date at the top will be revised. Material changes will be reflected in the app’s store listing privacy information where required.
